Student journey

Scaffolded Student Learning

A guided study prototype for structured module learning. The flow stays explicit on purpose: understand the study setup, sign in with a pseudonymous code, select the current week, work with the scaffolding tutor, and complete the short final debrief.

What this project is for

This site is a guided tutoring prototype for learning core module concepts. It is designed to help you explain ideas in your own words, ask focused questions, and build understanding step by step rather than just collecting a final answer.

What the scaffolding tutor does

  • keeps the session focused on the selected week's uploaded notes
  • supports concept explanation, small hints, examples, and knowledge checks
  • records study interactions for the research evaluation

What you should do

  • use a pseudonymous participant code, not your real name
  • remember your login details if you want to resume later
  • treat the tutor as a guided study tool, not a shortcut-answer tool
How the student flow works
  1. Read the guide and understand the study setup.
  2. Register or sign in with a pseudonymous participant code and password.
  3. Choose the week you want to study.
  4. Use the tutor interface, end the chat when done, or return to choose another week.
